How to correctly Wall mount your new Springo WiFi Access Point
Mounting your WiFi access point.
The device can be mounted on either the wall or ceiling. Perform the steps for the appropriate installation. Here we will look at the wall mount option, for a ceiling mount installation, please see our Article on Ceiling Mounting your Springo WiFi Access Point
Your new Springo WiFi access point comes with a variety of fittings to help you position your WiFi access point effectively. Below is a list of the various mounting accessories included.

Installation Requirements
- Phillips screwdriver
- Drill and drill bit (6mm for wall-mounting)
- Optional: Drywall or keyhole saw (to cut 18mm hole for Ethernet cable feed)
- Cat5/6 UTP cable for indoor installations
WiFi Access Point – Hardware Overview
Locking Notch
The Locking Notch will be used with the Mounting Bracket to secure the WiFi access point. (This is described further in the Mounting Bracket section.)
Reset
The Reset button serves two functions for the WiFi access point:
- Restart – Press and release the Reset button quickly.
- Restore to Factory Default Settings – Press and hold the Reset button for more than five seconds. (DO NOT USE UNLESS ASKED BY A MEMBER OF THE SPRINGO TEAM)
Ethernet Port
This Ethernet port is used to connect your WiFi access point to your power and internet supply.
Cable Feed Plug
If your Ethernet cable is surface mounted rather than running inside the wall, remove the Cable Feed Plug.
Mounting Bracket
Locking Tab
During installation, the Locking Tab on the Mounting Bracket moves from the Initial Position to the Final Position, where the Locking Tab fits securely into the Locking Notch on the WiFi access point.

Hardware Installation
For the wall mounting procedure you will need the below mounting accessories.

Step1.
Once you have chosen the location for your new WiFi access point, position your wall mounting bracket against the wall, ensuring the locking tab is facing up and mark the screw holes with a pencil.
Step2.
Drill the marked holes using a 6mm drill bit.
**If you are not running your ethernet cable inside the wall, proceed to step 5**
Step3.
(OPTIONAL) If you plan to run your ethernet cable inside the wall, mark a hole just underneath where the mounting bracket will be when in position.
Step4.
Drill the marked whole using an 18mm drill bit. Now is the time to pull the ethernet cable through the 18mm hole you drilled, ready for connecting to your WiFi access point.
Step5.
Place the screw anchors into the 6mm holes you drilled out and screw the mounting bracket to the wall using the screws provided, ensuring the locking tab is facing up.
Step6.
If you chose not to run your ethernet cable inside the wall then remove the cable feed plug and ensure the ethernet cable sits in this recess when affixing the WiFi access point to the wall mount.
Step7.
Connect the ethernet cable into the ethernet port on your WiFi access point.

Step8.
Position your WiFi access point on top of the mounting plate ensuring that the arrow on the lip of the WiFi access point is inline with the locking tab of the mounting plate.

Step9.
Turn the WiFi access point clockwise 20 degrees until you hear the locking tab click into place, this completes the mounting of your WiFi access point, refer to the Quick & Easy Setup guide for connectivity instructions by visiting our article on Quick & Easy Hardware Setup.
